Camas, Washington

The Town of Camas Washington was originally built around a paper mill. Georgia Pacific currently owns the paper mill which is still in operation. At one point it was the largest paper company on the west coast. Today, the Camas real estate market is appreciating and Camas Realtors have little inventory. Camas is located to the east of Vancouver, WA.

Camas’ origins may have been around the paper mill, however, in recent years Camas real estate has exploded due to a large increase in population due to several large companies moving offices into Camas. For instance, companies such as WaferTech, HP, and Fisher Investments can all be found Camas.

Camas has a small-town feel and a charming downtown area with beautiful tree-lined streets. Not far from downtown is Lacamas Lake and Round Lake. These lakes are a popular place to boat, fish, hike, and barbeque. In addition, Camas is known for highly rated schools, excelling in both academics and sports programs.

Camas currently has an estimated population of about 25,000. Real estate prices in the city average higher than the Clark County average. Camas residents refer to themselves as Camasonians and generally take a lot of pride in their city.

Being a personal resident of Camas, Matt Kachevas has extensive Camas knowledge. So, if you are looking for a Camas Realtor feel free to contact him with all of your questions.
